PROSPEX 2017 is hosted in London’s Business Design Centre on the 13th and 14th December and this year celebrates the 15th annual show of the PESGB’s highly successful series of Prospects Fairs. The focus of PROSPEX is to provide the environment for Oil and Gas companies and “Promote Licensees” to marketing their prospects and facilitate the coming together of potential investors, whereby all parties can meet as part of the ‘deal making’ process.
The conference also boasts an informative programme of key note speakers with the two-day agenda largely focused on the UK Continental Shelf and the Celtic Sea Basins.
We will be on the S&P Global Stand 21 for the duration of the event, where we will be discussing the recent developments to the Kingdom Seismic Inversion and Kingdom VelPAK modules. We are proud to announce that these modules will now be available from IHS on the Petrel platform, branded as InSeis and Velit respectively. It can be noted that whilst IHS are retailing these products as part of our working partnership, that they are available on Petrel without the requirement of a Kingdom Base licence.
There have been several performance enhancements to both of our software packages over the last year. Of note is the ability to generate a Synthetic Seismic Volume simultaneously with the Relative and Absolute Acoustic Impedance volumes in our Inversion package. In our depth conversion package you can now generate a SEG Y ‘Well-Calibrated Stacking Velocity Percentage’ Volume from our HiDef module, and use this to produce pseudo-wells in a regular grid, for extra control points away from your known data, for your well-based methods.
