Every subsurface team has its own way of tackling depth conversion, which is why Velit ships with a broad, ready-to-use library of proven methods rather than a single fixed workflow. Whether you're building velocity models from curves, gridded surfaces, well logs, or stacking velocities, Velit's pre-configured methods let you get started quickly while still giving you the flexibility to bring in your own custom conversions when a project calls for it. The depth conversion process can be run by the user, via the workflow system or the Wizard can be used to run a number of depth conversion to calculate the P10, P50, P90 values and produce the depth uncertainty for risk reduction in reservoir estimation.
