AAPG/SEG International Conference & Exhibition 2017

2017 marks AAPG’s 100th Anniversary Celebration with the AAPG/SEG International Conference and Exhibition (ICE) is this year held in London between the 15th – 18th October 2017 and is the 4th edition of this years’ AAPG conference programme. ICE brings geophysicists and geologists and relevant petroleum industry professionals together from over 60 countries to develop their knowledge, skills and discover the latest technological innovations, as well as being the ideal environment to network with their peers.

Keeping ahead in this constantly changing industry requires access to understand the most up to date technological advancements, lecture content and key contacts that can help you succeed! By attending and supporting ICE, you’ll benefit from some of the most recent geoscience information available, with the platform to bring the science and the community together providing the cornerstone for both business and personal opportunities at the event.

We will be exhibiting at the event and discussing the latest advancements to the Kingdom VelPAK and Seismic Inversion modules. Over the last year the main development focus has been on the ease of use of our software modules and how our new Combinations Feature in VelPAK can give you the confidence in selecting one depth conversion function over another, through a graphical cross validation process.

The Wizard module enables you to perform a series of depth conversion functions, with the run files stored within the program. You may then select a series of functions and the software can automatically carry out a stability analysis of these methods, using a “cross validation n from p” scheme, where various numbers of wells are left out and the velocity model is assessed on how well it predicts the information at the well locations when they are turned off. A summary of the information is provided per layer which can increase your confidence that your selected depth conversion technique is predicting velocities correctly, or where additional analysis may be required.

If you would like to come and see how we can help you make the right decisions in depth and learn about the theory behind our inversion technique, and see the results for yourself, then we will be on the S&P Global stand 228 , or you can contact us to arrange a private demonstration at sales@equipoisesoftware.com
