The PROSPEX 2019 conference is held at the Business Design Centre on the 11th and 12th December and is hosted jointly by the UK Oil & Gas Authority and the PESGB. The show is the UK’s premier exploration and development networking event and provides an opportunity for announced ‘Promote Licensees’, governments and Oil & Gas companies to advertise their prospects and entertain potential investors to facilitate the process of making deals.
The exposition provides a contextual overview of the licensing activities and topics related to the UK Continental Shelf, Onshore UK and the surrounding regions and creates a ‘hot spot’ by bringing together interested parties to help develop the value chain from ‘Prospects to Production’. One key feature of the event is the full speaker programme that incorporates the popular ‘Prospects to Go!’ sessions.
With a lot of focus on the UK, the show also provides the arena for several international assets to be showcased with Ireland, Croatia and several Middle East and East African assets being exhibited. It is hoped that with an increase in the number of these international players being represented, that the future of the exposition will become a more activate ‘hub’ for Europe, Middle East and Africa for years to come.
At the event we will be discussing the importance of accurate time-to-depth conversation in these geologically complex, offshore environments. At a time when the margin for error in drilling is so tight, improvements in geoscience workflows that encompass the latest technological advancements will be crucial to achieving profitably worked up prospects, with minimal losses through the back door.
